Cycling "El Camino de Santiago"

Christian pilgrims have, for centuries, been travelling along " El Camino de Santiago" by foot, horse, and more recently by bike. We chose partly due to time constraints, and partly due to my ingrowing toe nail to cycle our pilgrimage. We set out from Bilbao's Sondika airport heading more less due south to Vitoria where we would pick up the "Ruta del Tunel", and follow this to Burgos. From Burgos we would continue along the most popular and documented "Camino Frances" to it's ultimate conclusion, some 744 kms later and several mountain ranges later, in Santiago de Compostela.

I intend this site to be a reflection on our pilgrimage, which was long in the planning, hard in the riding, and for ever talked about since finally having been achieved.

It contains our diary, our photos, some links and references and all of our very happy memories of our time spent along the "Camino de Santiago".
