Ameyugo to Burgos

We set off with the first light, both feeling unwell, within a few kms we had had to rest a couple of times, so we decided that the sensible course of action was to have an easy day, so still well behind our planned schedule we caught the only train of the day out of Pancorbo to Burgos. Although this only cost 590 pts, it left us with a certain sense of guilt & failure and we now had doubts that we would ever reach Santiago under our own steam.

We now hoped that after a days rest, a few prayers, and a comfortable nights sleep, we would be able to restart our pilgrimage with renewed vigor and optimism.

Burgos, itself is a fine City with a beautiful cathedral, but we were not in the best spirits to enjoy it. We stayed in the Hotel Espanya, which was nice but expensive at 9000 pts. for a double room.
