We set off again now with lots more confidence having rested for a day, and
more than just a little sad at leaving old friends behind.
The journey was now through the austere landscape that is Castilla y Leon.
We progressed with very little shelter from the sun which was now burning
again.
We eventually reached Sagahun at around 1.40pm. We found the albergue, and
had our credentials stamped and found that there was once again no room to
stay. We had a lot of difficulty finding anywhere to eat, with long queues
to be found everywhere. We eventually found a very ordinary place on the exit
from the town.
There was camp site on the exit from the town, but we found it hard face
following our cramped, uncomfortable night in Ameyugo, so we stayed at the
Hostal Don Facundo, which was expensive at 6100pts, and not very hospitable.
In fact Sagahun was the place we liked least on the whole journey, and I would
avoid it, if I were ever to repeat our pilgrimage by the same route.
